One dead, one injured after fire in Toronto basement apartment

TORONTO — A woman in her 20s has died in hospital following a two-alarm house fire overnight in northwest Toronto.
The two-alarm fire broke out at around 2:30 a.m. in the basement apartment of a home (on Byng Avenue near Albion Road).
The woman fire was found without vital signs and was revived by paramedics but later died in hospital.
Paramedics say a man in his 20s was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
The victim’s name has not been released. (CP24)
