‘Black Panther’ star-studded squad speaks of optimism at London premiere

LONDON: While the ‘Black Panther’ star-studded crew has been making headlines across the globe in courtesy of its hype and anticipating the Marvel maniacs with its trailers, the recent European premiere in London walked beyond with whimsical glamour and bouquets of optimism.
The face behind Erik Killmonger, Michael B Jordan calls it honour that films can go beyond with a predominant black cast as it tends to motivate the black audience, adding that the “stereotypes are out they have been in rotation for a long time”.
“I think it’s gonna inspire the next generation of writers, directors, filmmakers, who are going to change their position and outlook and perspective on what films can do and who can lead them and the reach and trajectory,” the 30-year-old actor remarked in an interview with the Associated Press.
The European premiere gathered a star-studded crowd including the likes of footballer Daniel Sturridge, actor John Boyega and musicians Stormzy and Little Simz to applaud the successive cinematic that has been anticipating the Marvel fans with excitement.
While Danai Gurira spoke of positive vibes with the diversified sort of selection for the cast and Martin Freeman also spoke at length, Daniel Kaluuya urged it important to see powerful black characters in optimistic leadership roles because every other race gets to.
“It’s important for little kids not to see it as special but to see it as normal. And to see an empowered narrative before society puts the narrative on them,” Kaluuya said.
The Disney movie, directed by Ryan Coogler, brings Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong´o, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett among many other prominent actors together for the worldwide action-thriller.
“Black Panther”, the first black stand alone Marvel superhero movie is slated to release this year on February 12.
