Toronto man wanted for murder after midtown assault victim dies

Toronto – A 35-year-old Toronto man who allegedly attacked and killed a man near Bathurst St. and St. Clair Ave. W. on Monday night is wanted by Toronto police for first-degree murder.
Police were called to the area of Nina and Bathurst Sts. before midnight. Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook said witnesses told police they saw a man being assaulted by another man.
When police arrived, they located the victim seriously injured and without vital signs. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital where he later died.
Police later identified him as Terrance Coughlin, 59, of Toronto.
According to a Toronto police statement, a Canada-wide warrant will be issued on Wednesday for the arrest of Curtis Ashley Wheatley, also of Toronto.
An investigation continues.
