Will drag Rana Sana to jail by moustache: Imran

LAHORE: A man was beaten up and handed over to police for allegedly trying to hurl a shoe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as he was getting into his vehicle to leave the venue of a political rally he addressed in Faisalabad on Sunday.
The suspect was caught by the party workers and Khan’s security staff as he allegedly attempted to open door of the PTI chief’s vehicle. He was handed over to police before being beaten up badly, a private TV channel reported. The suspect claimed after the initial interrogation that he was sent by Rana Sheharyar, the son-in-law of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah. He identified himself as Mirza Ramzan, a resident of Hajiabad area of Faisalabad.
According to police, the suspect admitted that Sanaullah’s son-in-law directed him to throw a shoe at the PTI chief. The further action would only be taken after a written application by the PTI, the police said.
Later addressing the rally, Imran Khan said he will throw Rana Sanaullah in jail by dragging him by his moustache. “I’ve never bowed before anyone, and I’ll never allow Pakistan to submit to anyone,” the PTI chief said. “Listen up Rana Sanaullah, I’m going to lock you up in jail,” he thundered. “Abid Sher Ali is the Sharif family’s puppet and I’m going to send all of their stooges to jail,” he said, adding that only a few months were left of the Sharifs rule.
The PTI chief said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government stole the public money and kept it away in offshore accounts. “No country can ever prosper if there are such corrupt elements in the ruling party. Ishaq Dar has stolen public funds and sent it overseas,” Imran said. He said that when the judiciary gives verdicts against them, they say “why are we ousted”. “But through the efforts of Pakistan’s youth we shall rid the country of corruption once and for all,” he claimed, adding that his party would win the upcoming general elections and bring sweeping change in Pakistan.
