Shehbaz next in line after Nawaz’s dismissal: Imran

GUJRANWALA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Wednesday said that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif was next in line for disqualification after the ouster of his brother and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

“Punjab should be cleansed from the Sharifs in the upcoming general elections,” he told workers at a gathering in Gujranwala. He said that Shehbaz Sharif wasted half a trillion rupees budget aimed at initiating development projects in Punjab over the past one decade but still he had miserably failed to construct a single world-class hospital in the entire province. “That’s why he had to go to London to undergo a medical checkup,” he taunted. “Nawaz Sharif’s wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, is also receiving medical treatment abroad. Unfortunately, even the very basic medical facilities are not available to the common people in Pakistan,” he added.

The PTI chief claimed that the medicines that were being sold for Rs 50 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were being sold for Rs 100 in Punjab. He said that PTI addressed the grievances of the masses more effectively than the previous governments. He also called on the masses to vote his party into power in the upcoming general elections.

In an interesting development, PTI workers have decided to form a ‘bat force’ to thrash anyone with cricket bats who dares to target the party chief with a shoe. The party workers informed Imran Khan about the ‘initiative’ during his visit to Gujranwala. The bat-wielding youth will surround Imran Khan throughout his nationwide electioneering campaign.

Last week, a shoe targeting the PTI chief missed him during a public rally in Gujrat and instead hit party leader Aleem Khan in the chest.
