SC directs PTI chief to submit reply in ‘forged’ NoC case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has directed PTI chairperson Imran Khan to submit a reply to allegations on the ‘forging’ a No-objection Certificate (NoC) for the construction of his Banigala house.
Counsel for PTI chief Chaudhry Faisal Hussain appeared in court and requested time to submit a reply regarding a government report on the Banigala estate. He said the report was yet to be shared with the legal team.
Faisal also rejected media reports on Khan ‘forging’ an NoC on the construction of the Banigala residence. The bench then gave the PTI counsel one week to furnish a reply. The apex court also directed the federal government to ascertain the veracity of submitted documents over the hearing.
Forged documents? No NOC issued for Imran’s Bani Gala mansion, SC told
Earlier, Additional Attorney General (AAG) Nayyar Rizvi submitted a report in the Supreme Court on Wednesday stating that Imran Khan’s No-objection Certificate (NoC) for the construction of his Bani Gala residence could not be verified. The PTI chief stated he had obtained an NoC for the construction of his house. However, Muhammad Umar, who was the secretary of the Sohan Union Council in 2003 when the document was apparently issued, denied the issuance of any such document.
